Susan Lettieri, founder of Kiddie Lites, can trace her humble start in the children's gift market back to the craft shows in her hometown. "After my daughter was born, I began hand-making items for children at home," explains Susan. "The great response I received at those shows gave me the courage to take my lamps and accessories to local stores where they were scooped up for resale."
Today Kiddie Lites products are imported, but the same personal care to design and attention to quality make the lamps and accessories favorites in specialty children's stores and gift shops around the country.
"I have to admit that I miss the immediate feedback from the moms and grandma's at craft shows and the personal contact when I hand carried a box of home-made lamps into a local store," explains Susan. "I still love to hear from consumers who have discovered our products for the first time."
